About us

The institute is partnering with universities, non-university institutions, health insurance funds and pharmaceutical companies in the conduct of scientific projects in the fields of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and oncology.

We participate in planning and carrying out clinical and epidemiological studies, and evaluate and publish the results of these. In addition, we produce expert reports on drugs for regulatory agencies and other health institutions. We are committed to the principles of evidence-based medicine.

The Institute of Pharmacology and Preventive Medicine is a partnership that has been registered with Munich District Court under the number PR 917.

Our clinical research activities are bundled under the umbrella of the IPPMed - Institute of Pharmacology and Preventive Medicine GmbH. It is a limited liability company which is registered with the Potsdam District Court under the number HRB 23138 B. In addition, effective as of June 1st 2012, IPPMed has taken over TEMPESTAS, a clinical research organization located in Cloppenburg, Germany.
